Tears fell down my cheeks,
I can't believe this happened to me,
It seemed like this day is taking weeks,
How could this be?

Weeks ago we were in New York,
Drinking smoothies and laughing,
We sounded like dorks,
Across the streets ducks were quacking.

I can't believe he was texting while driving,
he was meeting me at the mall,
he was close to arriving,
He was texting his friend Paul.

Now that i'm done,
I just want to say,
I can't believe his gone,
I wish he would of stayed.

Here comes the tears,
I held his cold hand,
I wish everyone was not so near,
I hope you understand.

I never knew that death could happen to someone as thoughtful as him,
It breaks my heart to say,
it such a crime,
I will always remember this day.
