Nobody sees what stirs inside
Perhaps they are just blind
Or do they turn the other cheek
Too afraid to take a peek
Is who I am really so bad?
I'm me, please don't be mad

My best efforts aren't enough
But I don't cry, I'm tough
There's times I'm driven up the wall
But I promise I refuse to fall
And you claim to love me
But is that close to reality?

The author's comments:
Not my best poem but it's about the guy I was engaged too before he broke up with me. He had started acting weird but still said he loved me. He lied of course haha
