Wishes
Wishin' on a midnight star,
But i know it'll never some true.
Because wishes don't come to those like you n' me.
Our fate has already been sealed.
My time all done and through.
The thoughts, hopes, and dreams you once so casually dismissed,
Are no longer your own to hold dear.
Don't you wish now you'd told them you loved them?
Made sure they knew how much you'd always care?
But your life's all gone away and done.
No longer are your choices yours to be made.
If only i had a second go at things, a different go at things,
I swear I'd do differently, i swear I'd do better.
If only a second chance could be given,
But i know that such a wish could never be mine.
