words do not hurt
but your words do
my love for you
quickly became pain
when you insulted me
coming from you
those words stung
like the venom
from a snake
i feel dead
and i blame myself
for not being good enough for you to even look at

The author's comments:
This piece was inspired by a boy that I liked. He used to be nice to me then he began teasing me and I could ignore everyone's' comments but when he began to bother me it really hurt. I became so sad my guard fell and now everyone's' words hurt.
