When Good Little Kids go to Sleep

Cats can walk
in creepy, dark roads
while good little kids
go to sleep.
Always in shadows
where they hunt rats
and bad little kids.
They have been seen
with witches
and called their pets.
Yet, in the land of sand
cats are treated
as if they were gods.
For now, its time
for good little kids
to go to sleep.

The author's comments:
This was originally name cats. I kind of put it in a way to make it seem like it was a bed time story, meant to scare kids to be good and go to sleep. I like cats so I have mixed feelings for making the cats the new buggy man. That's probably why I put in the Egypt history of cats in.
