there's a boy and a girl and they live in separate worlds

these tears that she cries alone every night
they haunt his dreams that he can’t remember
and those stitch the clothes she never wears.

every day she walks through snow that never comes,
while he cries dry tears
and she clutches at something that’s not there.

she trudges through tomorrow yesterday
while he wraps his fingers around a cloud
and she tries to give the sky back both its rain and sunshine.

he calls out to someone who never even existed
while she holds the hand of her imaginary friend
and he catches a star to send to an empty house.

they both take the bus and they sit next to each other
in separate worlds as they drive to the same location
that isn’t even real.

There's a loveliness of ethereal proportions. You could perhaps elongate it, or add more imagery.
