"and then the disciples returned, saying 'impossible! The Lord, our God has risen!"

I wake up and I'm sober
There's a rainbow overhead
I must have missed the storm
That left me rattled and shattered

I know there's a fire within me
But your flames burned all of mine down
I'll miss when you caressed my skin
But I won't miss when you watched me drown

I lived through the fight
But wasn't conscious of what was happening
I knew it wasn't good enough
But I was too shy to speak up

I fell asleep wasted
You took me for granted
Made me become jaded
After a storm though,
There's always a rainbow...
