arrival
My kindred spirit, I’ll find you some day.
Maybe today, maybe the next.
All I know is you’ll be the best.
I wonder. I wonder. Oh, how I wonder!
Will you strike as lightning, or crash like thunder?
Perhaps you’ll float by, with wings so gorgeous.
All men stare, pondering what stands before us.
Or maybe you’ll roll like the river, oh so deep.
In significant thought our minds shall meet.
Could you be crying, in need of a hand?
Surely I’d help you. I’m a good man.
Or is it I who will walk in, catching your eye?
With something that day to appear dignified.
When this day comes I shall rejoice.
For I have found the woman of my dreams, by fate’s choice.
