Opposites
Life slows down, I run faster
Life speeds up and all I want is time
Everything is spinning and I sit still
The stillness settles, and my legs begin to move
The world, black and white, and my eyes are open
The color seeps in, but my eyes are closed.
They tell me what to do, but I ignore them
I need somebody, but this time they're gone
The sunshine streams down but my shades are pulled. Then they open, with the steady rain.
