They lacerate my heart

My heart beats out of lust for you

Every beat subjecting me to another sting from the scorpion barbs

You put these coils around me

I sit behind the invisible wall watching you

I see you down the distant bridge that stabs into my heart

Your luscious face glances and acknowledges my presence

But you quickly turn back around and dissipate to the bridge

I walk down the never ending bridge of depression

Growing deeper as I walk unable to stop

Bound by these chains of desperation
