Childhood Memories

July 30, 2011
I soar down the grassy hill,
My hair flying down my back,
The warm sun shining non my face,
I see my friends in the distance,
I skip over to them.

I take their hand,
As we make our way to the big oak tree,
We imagine it’s a big castle,
As we pretend to be Princesses and Queens.
I mend a branch with leaves,
I lay it on my head like it’s a diamond crown.

We laugh and giggle,
As we stare at the sky.
The clouds forming shapes above,
I giggle at the sight.

As the day goes by,
Our tired feet yearn for sleep,
So we start our journey,
Our journey to childhood memories…
