A Soulful Serenade
I miss you. That subtle longing that might not always make it to the front of your mind. That realization and consciousness. No, it might not always reach that point, but it’s always there. That terrible feeling of being incomplete. There’s something missing.
So I kneel before you, solemn monument; monolith of memories.
In memoriam, even.
So I kneel. I am on my knees for you. As my diaphragm pulls down and my lungs pull in the stale air around you, I am stoic. I will not cry for you, though I wish I could.
And I will sing your favorite song. Oh, how you loved to sing along.
