- What Matters
Lying between my teeth but only because I don’t know the truth.
I'm full of secrets but not secretive.
Duality, lies, secrets, irony, foreshadowing, dreams, love, flying, confidence, uncertainty, time.
Sun rays drenched in moonlight.
You’re the remnants of my broken heart.
The last goodbye was a moment too quick and a moment too long.
Twisting and turning. In my fears, I'm burning.
No way out, only a way in.
Either bluntly honest or conniving liars.
I'm looking at the mirror but I can't see myself. The angle is wrong.
My days are counted by the pills I take. I feel lost and unsure,
As if the waves of time have turned again,
My fears need an invasion.
From here, everyone can see me, but no one cares to look.
You’re coming so dangerously close to the truth. But not the truth I wanted.
You’re coming with your weapons of fear, but I’ll be ready with my shield of love.
We leave to see who wants us to stay. We don't want to die, just want to be saved.
