A Walk With Love

one day i took a walk with love
hand in hand we walked through life,
soft lips on my cheek, warm breath on my ear
and she whispered sweet nothings, and
she whispered a warning. love said to me,
'i am as fleeting as the bird, perched in the tree
i may be here on moment and gone when you blink
i can be as merciless as the lion, as changing as the seas
and you would do well, my dear, to be wary of me.'
