Ashes. White hot ashes, falling. Resting on the caps of graying snow. As the snow grows old, it turns from new and clean, to ugly. First gray, then the dead brown. The snow goes ugly. But is it the fault of the ashes?

This is much more a thinker then a piece of poetry. It was the result of a quick-write to the poem, 'His First Snow', and is almost entirely unrelated. I'm still working it out.
