“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
Leo F. Buscaglia

I cried endless tears
as the darkness grew
I hid my fears
and put on a smile for you

I sang and laughed
to see you do the same
but what you never knew
is you were the one to blame

You made me cry
as thoughts filled of you, gone
and I just waited
not knowing if you were coming home

You left me here,
scared and alone
as I felt fear
taking my soul

You were in my heart, alive and ready
as you held my hand
keeping me steady

I spread my wings and learned to fly,
really, I learned how to survive.

My friend went through a hard time so I wrote this for her.

Completely relateable. You are very good at constructing the flow and rhyme. And this was for a friend, you showed skill in creating in for someone else and their experiences

Life takes you somewhere, love helps you get there.

This was really amazing I loved it. I could relate to some of it. Check out some of my work?
