The Seed
It stays really quiet.
I know I shouldn't mind.
It causes mental riot
unease of every kind.
It comes with surprise
with no little warning.
It jumps into my eyes,
mind sent swarming.
You probably don't know,
probably don't remember.
So I'll never let it show,
cover the fire, smother the ember.
Who's opinion do I take
when they're both my own?
What is really at stake
When answers are unknown?
So I ask you now my friend,
who's face is never shown,
to answer every question
and doubt that I have sown.
Do you bury it down deep?
Or bring it to the light?
My tender little seed,
there's so much you could incite.
