All my songs are always the same
I finally realize it’s all one big game
A guy doesn’t care if it’s real or it’s fake
All that he cares about is all he can take
He doesn’t have to care about someone that he hurts
Because he’s one among the many other lonely jerks
A guy doesn’t care if she’s sweet or she’s caring
All he can think about is she free? Is she daring?
A guy doesn’t care about if you’re a cutie.
All he cares about is getting some booty.
In this world there’s little left

Of girls who haven’t suffered theft
They play the mind games
And let themselves believe
That it’s okay to have your heart on your sleeve.

This poem was written for teenage girls like myself, who find it hard to stay true to themselves and feel as though the only way to be in a relationship, is by selling themselves short.
