Caged
Those who hide something deep,
A dark shadow,
A shapeless void,
A bright star,
A heart of joy,
Of which they keep,
From every person, some hide all
For every person, some is hidden,
Afraid of shame,
Afraid of criticism,
To step out of what they lied
Evergreen trees
Chrome-plated keys
Caged turtles
In the forest, they reappear,
In the forest they shoot a dear
Ending life,
Without a fear,
As they eat the tender meat,
A tree falls into a creek,
Stars turn into nebulae,
Crashing, burning, in the blink of an eye,
But for mortals,
That’s just a lie,
Arg, to see beyond the shining sea,
Is to see a shining, golden key,
To be who you really are,
Is to break your metal cage, by far.
