The Candle Of Friendship

Friendship is one candle that always burns strong,
One that stays vivid through the troubles of earth, air, fire, and water.
Everything else might change, might come and go,
But our friends are one thing that we can always depend on.
Through thick and thin, happy times and sad times,
They will never leave us for something better.
This candle might flicker or waver at times,
But its warmth will never burn out and leave us sitting in the cold.

It's a nice poem, but I've heard it before, with friendship being related to a candle. But I do like the way you phrased the last line, that part, I never thought about the candle.
