My Hope

Your smile is one that brightens the darkest days;
It shares something that most have lost
When they see you smile, their spirits raise.
Your smile brings hope.

Your eyes sparkle like glistening dew on soft rose petals;
They speak to those who hurt and fill their hearts with glee.
When anxious eyes meet yours, their negative feeling settles.
Your eyes bring hope.

Your hands are true providers.
They’ve done incredible things:
Collecting honey, holding hands, and building tire swings.
Your hands bring hope.

You have given me more than you may know.
Although miles keep us apart,
You are always in my heart.
In my heart you will remain
Where hope was found and will constrain.
You brought me hope.
