Poisonous Elixir
They say it’s not easy to love
And I must agree
There are different souls
They all stand before me
Though I seem in love, I don’t feel a thing
I break hearts, eat souls, attribute pain
Indifferently, I kill all hopes of love and prosperity
If so, and you know, why do you love me?
Is it the color of my eyes that cause warmth to long lashes
Or the inescapable curves you dream of when alone
It might just be the soft lips who bewitch you
Personally I believe it’s the freakish things I do to you
Whether or not it’s true
You do not deserve those things, you do not deserve this love
So run, escape! Now! If you can! I wish you could!
Because falling in love with me is as foolish
As enjoying the sweet taste of a poisonous elixir
