Just like a sailboat
Blowing hastily towards me,
Your sails catch the wind gallantly
As you make your way
To rescue me from the waters below.
You are my shelter;
Calm and beautiful.
With you is where I’ll stay.

But you’re wavering.
I’m not in your sights anymore.
This telescope is no longer
a toy of your affection.
It sees danger.
Remember the wind
That drew you to me?
What was it pushing you from?

Here comes the storm,
The one that follows you,
The one you are trying to escape.
But sorry I’m not your refuge.
The shore is that way.
It’s time I jumped overboard
Before you bail on me.
I’ll let you on your way.
