An ocean sparkling beneath blue skies

And peaceful waves that ripple by the shore

Can not compare to your content brown eyes

That make me feel as if I could be yours

As I sit in sand below a birch tree

I think of what I’m worth to you

Just waiting for you to wash over me

I know there is so much to redo

I watch so many fish swim by

As I throw a rock across the sea

I try to speak but I’m tongue tied

As I think of how much we could be

Word or glance would give it away however,

That’s why I’ve lied forever.
