Grave
The abandoned graveyard stands empty
Grass yellowed and overgrown with time
 Hedges left in disarray
 Headstones crumbled to pebble
 Memory left to rot

 Silent statues guard the gates
To this forgotten city of dead
Ghosts moan and cry on the wind
Weeping for all they have lost
Night creatures take up their calls

Stone eyes see all who enter
 Decrepit fences keep out none
 Trailing vines snag intruding feet
 Moss covers watching demons
Caution goes to all who enter here

 Blackened petals over forgotten graves
Stems of dead flowers over dead memories
The scent of copper-fear and wild flowers perfumes the air
Neglects chokes this place like iron hands
As the Angel of Death patrols these empty paths
