Eating Loneliness For Dinner.

I've been alone for too long now
my loneliness consumes me
into a frigid dark pit
that laughs in my face
making me wish i was dead

the silence burns my ears
i want to scream but if i do
i will disrupt the silent night
and punishment is imminent

my eyes long for something
to look upon and one day love
but the surroundings are unknown
and flash quickly to a lost life
an utterly dead scenery

a weeping heart pleads for anything
to fill it so it may know love
but to know love, one must be loved
something I am not
nor was or will be

this body aches to be held
in protective arms, to be shielded
from the never ending pain
of the cold, heartless outside world.
