The darkness,
The void,
The emptiness.
Of me,
In me,
A part of me,
A part of everyone.
How do I fight it?
How do you fight it?
How do we all fight it?
The same as anything else:
If we are hungry,
We eat.
If we are thirsty,
We drink.
We counter with the opposite.
I, you, we –
We're hungry for light
Thirsty for all things right
The opposite of dark
The opposite of all things wrong
So ditch the darkness.
Fill the void,
Fill the emptiness.
I will.
I refuse to let it be
Of me,
In me,
A part of me,
A part of everyone.
