I Want To Slow Dance With You
I want to slow dance with you,
In a room that’s on fire.
I want to feel your heartbeat speed up,
When the walls start to burn down.
We realize, we’re doomed.
I want to take my last breaths into your shoulders,
While we sway back and forth,
To the tune of ashes falling around us.
Inhale your sweet scent that I couldn’t forget if I tried.
I want to laugh because you step on my feet,
While the flames take hold of the floor,
Our dance floor.
I want to slow dance with you,
In a room that’s on fire.
I want to feel your hands gripping my waist,
Holding on to life,
As death surrounds us.
I want to run my hands through your hair one last time,
While I feel the burning sensation close to our bodies,
Which are slowly melting together.
I want to kiss you,
Before I kiss death.
I want to slow dance with you,
In a room that’s on fire.
