La Luna
Oh the moon what a jewel,
What a pearl in the sky.
Perfect is her shape,
And dazzling to my eye.
Shedding off her faint blue glow,
A wonder of beauty God can show.
The queen of the stars all through the night,
And the bride of the sun at twilight.
Though in the morning when she sleeps,
A memory of him she keeps.
And when dark comes at night she’ll rise,
It’s him her love that must die.
Surly never will they wed,
For when one will live one is dead.
They look forward to that day,
When lovingly they both shall stay.
They will kiss each other with their lips,
And when at last on that eclipse.
