it was summer of 2011, a time ill never forget
it was simple
days spent with her
in a daze
at the lake
soaking up the rays
it was complicated
days spent without her
in a daze
in my room
pillow and bedsheet soaking up the gloom
it was joy
i was in love
blissful and uncomprehensible
days spent everywhere
running laughing playing
care free of the things my heart was saying
it was depression
days spent nowhere
blissful and incomprehensible
laying wishing hoping crying
knowing now that she was lying
this summer ill never forget. ever
