"…because nerds like us are allowed to be unironically enthusiastic about stuff… Nerds are allowed to love stuff, like jump-up-and-down-in-the-chair-can’t-control-yourself love it. Hank, when people call people nerds, mostly what they’re saying is ‘you like stuff.’ Which is just not a good insult at all. Like, ‘you are too enthusiastic about the miracle of human consciousness’

I notice...
A red and gray fleece jacket
His tall figure ambling through the halls
Sitting at the corner of a table during lunch

They notice...
Him as an normal boy
Somewhat smart, but not too smart
Just someone typical

They don't notice...
Me staring at him in the hallway
His hair, a plain of grasses leaning in the same direction
All the classes he walks into.

I notice everything
They notice him as ordinary
He notices nothing

I really like how you showed this poem through three different perspectives :) And also how differently those three notice one person. From the person who adores him, to the people who couldn't really care less, to the boy himself; well done!
