light in the forest

as I walk
through the forest
of darkness
I see a small
twinkling light
I move towards it
it encases me

the light
shines from me
surrounding others
as I move by
the light
moves with them

yet some refuse
the light
it moves away
forgotten and
denied

others do not
carry the light
because they never
saw it
they never got the chance

and when I
exit the forest
I will be
put before the
ruler of all time
and I will be judged
if I have stayed faithful
and the light has not
died
or been forgotten
I will be accepted to
the city of gold
and the place of glory
and exaltation
