What happened?
To the days when kids would rather stay inside & watch cartoons
But now a days, all they want to do is walk the streets like they own them
What happened?
To the days when all you could do to your hair was put a hot comb to it
Now you see girls walking around with weaves & extensions (like me)
What’s up with that……….
I don’t see how we can go from a generation full of great things & good people to a generation full of bad things & foolish people
What happened?
To 90’s Nickelodeon with Keenan & Kel, All That, & As told by Ginger
Now they have shows like Spongebob, True Jackson VP, & I-Carly
What’s up with that….
Now they have kids out here thinking that life is all about sex & violence
Dr. King once had a dream of a life without violence; peace was his answer to everything
We dedicate a day to him every January
For what???
So kids can get an extra day out of school 7 miss out on the finer things of life
Education is key & we as African Americans, Blacks, the whole U.S. of A are scoring the lowest on basic subjects
Barack Obama says “change”
We the people need to change
Change the generation, not to the one before but better
The year 2010 is here for change
We might have a Generation Lost but that’s only because we have a better Generation coming so……
As I sit back & think about all the latest technology, trends, & gossip kids are trying to keep up with, ask yourself
Is this really what the world has come to?
Will we remain a generation lost?
I don’t have all the answers but I got a solution, to go to the source of all creation, for God to help this lost generation....
