Rain.
Rain, it washes all the pain away.
As it falls, you begin to forget
all the hurt that life has cause.
I am young, yet I feel so old
Life has taught me that if I want to survive,
I’m going to have to think like an adult.
The only time I feel in complete peace
is when it rains.
It is as if the Earth is cleansing itself.
The world is full of wonderful things
which we as humans, tend to destroy.
The rain fixes all the damage that we’ve caused.
If only we did the same.
If only we could cry,
and all the hurt and pain is gone
but by crying we just make things worse.
Rain,
please wash away all my pain and fears,
just like you wash the Earth
and make it new.
You take the pain from it,
now please do the same for us.
The people who live in this world
and hurt just like the Earth does
only our pain is more than just the surface,
our pain is within.
