Broken ol' me
A proper life is what we strive for
Singling out people that we wouldn’t try for
I tore myself from the better part of me
I wandered streets thinking maybe I was
Free…
They can tell me that I was wrong
Another statistic in a song,
And I would sing it all night long--my lungs carrying out so strong
I can tell you that I’ve made minor errors
They’ll reply saying my future is ruined forever
I won’t deny that trouble is written in my eyes
I’m phenomenal without them
No surprise
I’m building back what I used to be
Trying not to lose the sight of me
But even a broken king won’t believe…his tragedy
Will become a convenient comedy
Containing hopes and dreams(Lofty like skyscraper towers)
Over head reality showers
Truthfully, nothing in me cowers
Suddenly, I’m too empowered.
