Don't Close the Book, Just Turn the Page
In life,
You will go through
Rests, breaks and pauses.
It can be minor or major,
High key or Low key.
But each note is different
And so is their key of change.
Don’t be a cota and go back to the beginning,
Or skip through your future.
Live in the measure your in now.
As life goes on it may be hard to remember,
But don’t be two eighth notes together.
Be your own note,
Play your own song,
Write the rest of your movement.
If the sheet rips, that’s okay,
You can’t plan everything.
And when you go back through your music
And find that your fate has been shaken and lost,
Don’t close the book
Just turn the page.
