Apology
How do you apologize,
When you know it’s no good?
What if everything has gone too far,
And I’ve messed up too much?
Can you even say sorry,
If it’s for everything you didn’t do?
I’m being tormented by you,
No not you,
It’s all of the wrong I’ve done onto you.
I spend all day every day,
Wishing I could fix it,
Salvage some small part,
Make it better,
At least make a start.
I need to try to make amend,
And I think I’ll do that today,
And so to you I say,
I’m sorry.
