For Infinity

We followed the sunset
until we met the dawn.
We watched the rise
of the sun until we
ourselves rose to the sky.
And after our journey,
although ending
in the exact same place
we had started it,
changed us.
For better or worse,
I do not know.
But we were still
Together.
Changed together,
looking back on the twilight
knowing,
feeling,
we were infinite.
Locked in time,
when the past
became the present,
in the shadow of dawn.
