Hopeful

Sometimes I wish it were you ringing the doorbell,
That’s all I imagine,
That’s all I hope,

I hope that you have come to make up,
I hope that you have come to take my breath away again,
I hope that you and I could take off from where we started,
I hope that we can start over,
I hope that you don’t hate me,
I hope that you don’t hate me as much as I am afraid of,
I hope that you won’t turn your back on me and be with her,
I hope you text me soon,
I hope that all is well with you,
I hope that you let me say my apology,
I hope that you accept it,
I hope that you say what you need to say,
I hope that you can love me again,
I hope that I can be real with you,
I hope that you can see that,
I hope that you can see that I have changed,
I hope that you come to your senses,
I hope that one day you could be mine.
