High School
Walking through the halls
Skinny girls and cute boys
Graffiti covers the walls
Drama trying to avoid-
The girls it takes into its clutch
The boys it makes want to fight
Back in the day, there was no such
Going to school in fright.
I'm sick of all the flying rumors
He said, she said, no one said anything
"She's pregant," and "He has a tumor"
And "OMG, did you see what she was wearing?"
Threats in the bathrooms and cuts on their arms
All the snobs pointing a finger
Fake people lead you on with their fake charms
And pressure will surely linger-
On you and all you've been through
Everything you've ever done
People will hold that against you
They'll make you feel like no one.
The gossip, the lies, the stories untold
Will try to pull you down
But hold back and let your life unfold
Be firm and hold your ground.
