"The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one. "
-Elbert Hubbard

We were seniors, the best of the best,
Now we have a different quest,
we used to be the best,
now we're treated like unwelcome guests.

We'll act like we don't worry,
but the first day compares to a flurry,
Did I get here too early?
Does my hair look 'real curly?

By lunch we'll be laughing,
and having a good time,
not looking like we just committed a crime,

once the day is over,
we'll be off the roller coaster,
and have to wait till tomorrow,
when we'll feel the same old sorrow,
because we are no longer what we were,
seniors.

This poem is about how worried people get on their first day of school,at a new school.Whether you're going into college or high school, everyone gets those first day jitters,so lighten up!There's NOTHING to worry about! You should be excited about it.
