Too Shy To Say
I see you in the hall,
but please don't be afraid.
I'm a person of great wisdom,
but not of great fame.
You're a beautiful person,
but I'm just too shy to say.
You walk away from me,
and I die a little inside.
We exchange passing glances here and there,
but I know there is nothing between us to bare.
We speak no words,
but know each other too well.
Two shy people,
in a world of he**.
You probably won't read this,
and I may never say.
That I think you're beautiful,
and I just want you to stay.
I leave this poem with advice for you,
don't walk away without a word or two.
