Push and pull

Like the tide

always pulling

back and forth

never knowing

if this will be the

time when the cool

salty water will

finally caress your toes

jumping in and out

not deciding, almost fearing

but at the same time

you want it, more than anything

you long for the cool touch

but dread the sand stuck between your toes

everytime it comes down

to the exact same thing

the tide never comes to the same place twice

and neither do you

Make up your mind

decidde now while im here

do you want to be stuck in

the sand never knowing

how the cool touch of the water feels

or do you want to dive in, head first

no matter how much pain it can cause

knowing the waves can over power you

so take a breath

close your eyes

now jump

either to the waves or to the sand

knowing you can never choose again
