The pain in Goodbye
Once i cried
for how you lied
leaving me sitting
by your side
promising a fresh start
coming from the heart
no more drugsor guns
was what you said
while putting me to bed
holding me close
closer than most
never letting go
so many years ago
i awoke one day
as you walked away
leaving me crying
and you not smiling
saying it was for the best
to just forget the rest
the times we had
the times so sad
of drugs and guns,
only what you've begun
