Favorite Quote:
You have to be a little insane to live life extraordinary.

Take a second and reflect
On all the pain and war
The incessant brutal violence
And the unrelenting gore

Take a second to see
The unmasked dead and poor
See what we've created
Destruction evermore

The killing that won't stop
That rage that never falters
What positive can be brought from this
This greed forever alters

Alters in to chaos
Bloodshed never ending
To the depths of he**
Our world slowly descending

Brother against brother
Friend turned towards friend
The fate of this lifetime
Has yet to be penned

The ending is not written
There is still time to change
A chance to free the suffering
From death to life exchange

Captives shall be freed
Slaves finally relieved
The time is now upon us
Think of what shall be achieved

Replenished land
Famine ended
The broken hearts
Finally mended

A shout of hope
In to the skies
As we each see
The end of all lies

The author's comments:
I realize that the ending is very weak, but this was one of my earlier poems so I feel like if I went back and readdressed the subject matter I could make a stronger poem. But to me, rewriting and revising a poem really takes away the meaning. I write all my poems in one sitting and without altering once I've started. I feel that this way it really forces my heart and soul to speak and not just my mind.
