stars r real
stars r fake
light in the sky
in the moon’s wake

dreams and fantasies
hopes lifted high
symbols of everything
that help u get by

balls of gas
glowing and hot
stars have double meaning
more often than not

but then again
most of us do
masks of meaning
when we r blue

we walk thru life
acting it out
we don’t even know
what the play is about

endlessly the maze
of life goes on
so we watch the stars
hoping for the dawn
