So Many Homes

I was asked, is it nice having so many homes?
I said no, I never asked for the places I call home
All I want is a place where they can just leave me alone
All I want is a place where I can lay my head down every night
I hate moving from bed to bed
Sometimes I just feel like being dead
Even when the sun is so bright
Some nights before I fall asleep
I don’t want to wake up the next day
The thing keeping me here is my will
My will to fight through the next day
So many homes for such a little person who doesn’t matter
