The bursts of light shower us in color
A fire show just for us
All the warm and smiling faces
Taking away all the stress.
Sitting back watching the dark sky
Staring at the singular star
Maybe it’s falling…
Or it’s a helicopter
She swears it’s going into supernova
I smile leaning back in my chair
Lights on their faces
Flying with such flare
Wishing I could just fly away
Go out with a bang
Everyone one would hope I would stay
Just like the fireworks in the air
Shooting off without a care.
