Jarred from peaceful sleep by the screaming of brakes
The metal around me moans
I screech in fright
Through my closed eyes I see the flames
Flashback
I hear loud laughter
My little sisters voice
I see my friends faces
My first kiss
When I boarded this train I had no idea
No idea that it would destroy me
No idea that it would ruin lives
I don’t have to be the train wreck that I am
To pull my self out of the rubble all I have to do
Is Put Down the knife
The metal around me moans
I screech in fright
Through my closed eyes I see the flames
Flashback
I hear loud laughter
My little sisters voice
I see my friends faces
My first kiss
When I boarded this train I had no idea
No idea that it would destroy me
No idea that it would ruin lives
I don’t have to be the train wreck that I am
To pull my self out of the rubble all I have to do
Is Put Down the knife
