Yellow Roses
I sit here thinking,
thinking of life and everything in it,
the yellow roses,
that smell so sweet, as sweet as your favorite song.
the sun so bright, so big
bigger then the moon, brighter then a light bulb.
the sea so wide and so salty,
wider then a city, wider then a state, wider then a country,
more salty then a 16oz container your mom buys.
The world that has all these wonderful things in it,
so big, so full
seems so empty, so lost without you,
so I sit here and think once again,
think of the love we share,
more then a child loves a new puppy,
more then a mother loves her new baby.
